After 28 years of representing Floridians across criminal defense, bankruptcy, estate planning, mediation, and consumer protection — and after watching the most sophisticated clients struggle to find counsel who treats their matters with the same long-horizon discipline they bring to their portfolios — I am opening a new advisory practice tailored specifically to wealthy collectors, family offices, and the trusted advisors who serve them.
What the practice does
The program is structured around four roles, each delivered confidentially and without the conflicts of a traditional retainer:
- Consultation. A direct, candid review of the legal terrain you are sitting in — whether the question is a contested estate, an art-title dispute, a federal-court exposure, a regulatory inquiry, or a tax-driven structuring decision.
- Strategy guidance. Working alongside your existing CPA, wealth manager, family-office GC, or outside counsel to map the optimal path. I am the second set of eyes — the strategist behind the strategist.
- Execution support. When the matter requires Florida or DC counsel of record, I step into that role through Steven C. Fraser, P.A. When it does not, I stay in the strategist seat without billing for unnecessary motion practice.
- Long-term advice. Ongoing counsel by the year, by the matter, or by the relationship — your choice. The objective is continuity: the same lawyer two years from now who knows the file from the first conversation.
Who it is for
This is not a volume practice. It is built for clients whose situations look like one of the following:
- Collectors of art, classic vehicles, rare books, watches, wine, firearms, or numismatics — facing title, provenance, valuation, customs, or estate-transfer questions where one wrong document loses the asset.
- Family offices and high-net-worth individuals seeking a sophisticated Florida and DC counselor who can sit in the second chair on tax, trust, real estate, employment, and dispute-resolution matters without becoming the lead.
- Fiduciaries — trustees, personal representatives, guardians, foundation directors — who need fast, confidential answers that keep their statutory duties intact.
- Other attorneys referring matters that require Florida or DC bar admission, mediation certification, or specific federal-court access (M.D. Fla., N.D. Fla., S.D. Fla., D.D.C.).
What you will not get
You will not get a marketing funnel. You will not get a paralegal-driven intake. You will not get an aggressive engagement letter pushed at you in the first call. You will get me, on the phone, with thirty minutes of focused attention and no obligation.
The goal is the relationship, not the transaction.
How to engage
Initial conversations are by private introduction — Calendly, telephone, or referral. Fees are transparent and discussed before any engagement letter is drafted. For collectors, family offices, and fiduciaries who already work with sophisticated counsel, I am happy to operate behind the scenes and bill through your existing GC's office.
Strategic counsel for clients who play the long game — that is the practice. If that fits the situation you are looking at, request an introduction or call 877-862-7188.
